Failed to download image on Resin OS 2.14.3+rev1 factory build

Hi,

I’m trying to deploy a second device for my application but the device fails to download the image, tries to download again, fails again etc. System information:

OS: Resin OS 2.14.3+rev1
Device type: Raspberry Pi 3
Device UUID: 41efa6406e7df296cc35c5058c980b11

Error message:

Any ideas on how to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi smomni,

We have been having the same problem with our virtual machine app (QEMU x86 64bit), only on VMs running 2.14.3+rev1. We have a thread here but no Resin replies yet.

My colleague managed to get a device running an image successfully just by leaving the VM to download-loop for 5 hours.
I ran mine for 7 hours (13 download/extract/fail loops) with much more memory but didn’t have any luck.

Older releases operate correctly if you need a quick workaround.

Hi, we are investigating this issue, it is possible (but not confirmed yet), that the new included balena release shipped with this new OS version is causing some issues. We’ll keep you posted.

@imrehg I left it in the Downloading loop and it seemed to have finally managed to download the image and deploy the application.

I am having this same problem on Resin OS 2.13.6+rev1 with the raspberry pi 3. I am rolling back to 2.12.7 which seems to be working so far
